Method is a tuition-free, WASC-accredited California charter built for the goal-oriented student. Recover credits, get ahead, or graduate early — on your schedule, with real teachers, year-round.

Looking for "summer school"? Here's how Method actually works.
Method is not a summer school and we don't offer stand-alone summer courses. We're a tuition-free, year-round California public charter — which means students enroll with Method as their school of record for as long as they're with us. California law requires that students attend one school at a time, so families can't be concurrently enrolled at Method and another school.
Many Accelerator families still use Method for a summer-only stretch: they enroll once their current school year wraps, knock out one or two courses on Method's 3- or 6-week accelerated pacing guides, and head back to their home school in the fall. Because we're WASC-accredited and UC a–g approved, those credits transfer back cleanly. If that's your plan, this is the right place — just expect a real enrollment, not a single-course sign-up.

Year-round, open enrollment
Method runs on a year-round calendar with continuous enrollment. The 2026–27 school year begins July 1, 2026 — start when you're ready, not when a traditional bell schedule says you can.
Self-paced sprints, real teachers
Students get pacing guides that complete a course in as little as 3 or 6 weeks. Credentialed California teachers hold daily office hours and weekly live homerooms.
WASC, UC a–g, and NCAA approved
Every credit you earn at Method counts. Courses are WASC-accredited and our high school list is University of California a–g and NCAA Eligibility Center approved.
6 weeks or 6 years — we have you covered
Some students join us to recover credits and head back to their home school. Others stay for the long haul. Either path is welcome, and either path works.

How credit works
5 credits per course. 10 credits at all times.
Every high school course at Method is worth 5 credits upon completion. Students are enrolled in a minimum of 10 credits at any given time, and pacing guides can compress a course into as little as 3 or 6 weeks.
That means a student who's behind can realistically recover multiple credits in a single sprint — or a student who's ahead can stack courses to graduate early.

To comply with California Ed Code and our authorized charter boundaries, all Method students must reside in one of the counties above. Every enrolled family gets the same WASC-accredited, UC a–g approved program regardless of which county they're in.
What you'll need to enroll
- Completed online enrollment form
- Birth certificate or passport (proof of age — required by CA)
- Immunization records (required by CA)
- Two separate proof-of-residency documents in the parent/guardian's name (e.g., utility bill, bank statement)
You don't need to withdraw from your current school first if your student isn't actively attending one.
